DRIVER RELEASE NOTES ======================================================================= Video Drivers (ATI Rage Mobility-M1) [note: onboard video] Systems: Dell Portables using ATI Mobility-M1 graphics chip ======================================================================= Revision: M6.11.69-T06 Revision Date: 9/1/00 ======================================================================= This driver release resolves the following customer reported issues: - System performance degradation with some 16bit applications. - When changing font size to 75% or 150%, causes the content in the ATI Display Tab to disappear. - Panasonic Panasync P21 monitor fails detection in Win2K - Video displays incorrectly when playing DVD with Mediamatics DVD Player - Flashes occur during DVD playback in 1280x1024x16 and above - ViewSonic P815 monitor is not properly detected in ATI Displays page - The AVI playback is displayed abnormal if there are 2 or more AVI files to be played concurrently. - System Hangs When Video Playback Switched from CRT to LCM at 1600x1200 - Bottom garbage during DVD playback in 1280x1024x16 and above - Lost Software Cursor when Waking up from Turn Off Monitor in High Color Desktop Themes - TV out not functional after driver loads up in win9x - ATI Taskbar Icon Settings Control Failure - The Japanese characters cannot be displayed correctly in Word95 - There are 3 rectangles flashing on the CRT while going to standby - DOS blue screen will go black on 800 X 600 panel. - Requirement to turn off backlight during Fn+F7 and Fn+F8 for W9X and W2K - LCD Backlight Goes Off After Exit From Full Screen DOS (TV: Primary, LCD: Secondary) - LCD Backlight Goes Off After Exit From Full Screen DOS (CRT: Primary, LCD: Secondary) - Vertical green line appear on top of the screen after play back capture - Adapter Info tab is not there under Adapter Information in ATI CD Install - Missing display adapter info. when Adapter Information in ATI Easy setup is clicked. - Details tab in the Properties page has missing information. - Panel (Secondary) pan in 800x600, CRT (Primary) pan in 1024x768@60Hz when desktop resolution is set to 1024x768@60Hz - Selecting 1600X1200 mode results in virtual desktop - Monitor refresh rate changes to 60Hz during standby undocked then standby docked. - Unable to toggel the Windows log-on screen - Display shows partial image during shut down at resolutions above 1024x768. - Disable rotation hotkeys in DOS full screen mode - Media player is playing in black on secondary CRTC when hardware overlay is used.
