This readme explains how to run the update program for
Server Administrator version 1.1 with Instrumentation Service 4.6.0
installed on PowerEdge 1500SC system. The update corrects 
a known issue reported on Instrumentation Service version 4.6.0.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM CORRECTED IN THIS UPDATE

This update corrects the following problems in Server Administrator with
Instrumentation Service version 4.6.0.

INCORRECT SYSTEM FAN MINIMUM WARNING THRESHOLD
----------------------------------------------------------------------

When the system is in a cold room (50 degrees Fahrenheit
or 10 degrees Celsius), the system's variable speed fan is
running at a slower speed. The Instrumentation Service incorrectly
reported this speed as a warning. This problem exists only on
PowerEdge 1500SC systems.

This update corrects this problem.

INSTALLATION OF THE UPDATE PACKAGE ON MANAGED NODES RUNNING
NOVELL NETWARE 4.X, 5.X AND 6.X OPERATING SYSTEMS

BEFORE INSTALLING THE UPDATE
----------------------------------------

1. Install Server Agent version 4.6.0 before installing the update.

2. Extract files from the zip file, "IS460AMW.zip."
   Copy the package into a temporary directory on the managed node
   server.

INSTALLING THE UPDATE
----------------------------------------
1. At the Netware command console, run the "SYS:\SYSTEM\DELL\OMANAGE\IWS\BIN\NETWARE\OMASTOP" 

2. At the NetWare command console, run the "DCSTOP.ncf" file.

3. Create a backup directory, "Updates\OMSA460A," on the server
   and copy all the files in the "SYS:\SYSTEM\DELL\OMANAGE\OMSA"
   directory to the backup directory you just created.

4. Copy all the files from the update package under the directory
   "OMSA460A" to the "SYS:\SYSTEM\DELL\OMANAGE\OMSA"
   directory on the server.

5. At the NetWare command console, run the "DCSTART.ncf" file.

6. At the Netware command console, run the "SYS:\SYSTEM\DELL\OMANAGE\IWS\BIN\NETWARE\OMASTART"

UNINSTALLING THE UPDATE
----------------------------------------

1. At the Netware command console, run the "SYS:\SYSTEM\DELL\OMANAGE\IWS\BIN\NETWARE\OMASTOP" 

2. Run the "DCSTOP.ncf" file from the NetWare command console.

3. Copy all the files in the backup directory,
   "Updates\OMSA460A," to the "SYS:\SYSTEM\DELL\OMANAGE\OMSA" directory.

4. Run the "DCSTART.ncf" file from the NetWare command console.

5. At the Netware command console, run the "SYS:\SYSTEM\DELL\OMANAGE\IWS\BIN\NETWARE\OMASTART"
