changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible 
with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).

DESCRIPTION

* This is the firmware release v2.0.0.1 for the Dell PowerConnect 6024 
and 6024F networking switch.

* This firmware is transferable to the switch via a TFTP server. 

* Please read the documents in the zip file for further information.

FIXES/ENHANCEMENTS

Enhancements:
Version 2.0.0.1 of the software application program is the second 
release of the system software for the device. It fixes several defects 
found in the previous version of the firmware and adds some new 
functionality to the product. The functions include:

* Protected port (private VLAN edge port) 
* SNMPv3 
* Enhanced port mirroring 
* Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) 
* TACACS+ 
* 802.1x port-based authentication

NOTE: Perform the upgrade procedure from the console interface via an 
RS232 serial port. When using a telnet session or web interface alone, 
your connection to the switch is not available until the switch has 
entered forwarding mode. This takes approximately three minutes.
