changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible 
with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).

DESCRIPTION
#######################################################################

* This is the firmware release v3.0.0.2 for the Dell PowerConnect 5224 
networking switch.

* This firmware is transferable to the switch via a TFTP server. 

* Please read the notes in the zip file for further information.

- IEEE 802.1x Port Authentication (New Feature)

- SNMP looping Issue on PowerConnect 5224 PortMgtTable Table 

- The port state is on "Unauthenticated" but host still have the 
access to switch 

- Nessus Security scan locks up the switch

- SNMP - Invalid v1 linkup & link down traps

- SNMPv1 - No linkup traps generated after a warm start

- Web UI doesn't refresh with updated information after "Applying 
Changes"

- Https contain insecure items

- Mac address table inconsistency

- Fiber ports do not work in forced mode

- Add CLI mcast to manually enter a MAC filter to filter out 
unnecessary PDU’s

- Fixed item where a broadcast storm can cause unmanageability to the 
switch

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

NOTE: Perform the upgrade procedure from the console interface via an 
RS232 serial port. When using a telnet session or web interface alone, 
your connection to the switch is not available until the switch has 
entered forwarding mode. This takes approximately three minutes.
