scheduled update cycle. The update contains feature enhancements or 
changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible 
with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).

DESCRIPTION
#######################################################################

* This is the firmware release v3.0.0.2 for the Dell PowerConnect 5212 
networking switch.

* This firmware is transferable to the switch via a TFTP server. 

* Please read the notes in the zip file for further information.

  What’s new in Release v3.0.0.2

- IEEE 802.1x Port Authentication (new feature)

- SNMP looping Issue on Noval PortMgtTable Table 

- The port state is on "Unauthenticated" but host still have the access 
to switch 

- Nessus scan locks up the switch

- SNMP - Invalid v1 linkup & link down traps

- SNMPv1 - No linkup traps generated after a warm start

- Web UI doesn't refresh with updated information after "Applying 
Changes"

- Enhanced filtering capabilities

- Loss of access to the management when broadcast storm happens 

- GBIC numbering

- TACACS/RADIUS IP's should be 0.0.0.0 by default

- IE 6 reports that secure WBI contains insecure items

- Syslog shows invalid date and time

- MAC Address Table inconsistency

- With a fiber LAG hard set to 1000full will return to default LAG of 
Auto-Negotiation 

- Noval corrupt vlan ID 4294966296

- WBI Utilization chart values do not reflect utilization correctly 

- Fiber ports do not work in forced mode 
- ARP Corruption Issue - Loosing connectivity when uplink port 
configured 
as a Trunk and pinging from the DUT.

- Memory Leak when using HTTP & SSH

NOTE: Perform the upgrade procedure from the console interface via an 
RS232 serial port. When using a telnet session or web interface alone, 
your connection to the switch is not available until the switch has 
entered forwarding mode. This takes approximately three minutes.
