Fixed problem where the Madge Token Ring PCMCIA card may cause the system to lockup under Windows 2000. 2. Fixed problem under Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 where a Matrox Millennium G450 PCI card installed in a C/Dock or C/DockII PCI slot would be listed in Device Manager with an error. 3. Fixed a problem with an erratic USB Mouse while running the Dell Diagnostic utilities. 4. Fixed problem where there may be slow device recognition for USB devices connected to HUBs during POST and while in use. 5. Fixed problem where the hot-key will not respond under ACPI with AC attached and no batteries installed. 6. Fixed problem where the USB signal strength would deteriorate when using 5 meter long cables. Enhancements: 1. Enhanced BIOS code support to allow Computrace Security Software to run more reliably. 2. Added ability to launch a Pre-boot System Assessment from the One Time Boot Menu and, when the system is off, by holding the Internet Button down while pressing the power button. Fixed issue in which some external serial port devices attached to the system may detect a break or framing error when the OS loads. 5. Fixed issue in which the OS may not be allowed to throttle the CPU after the system is resumed from Standby. 6. Fixed issue where a Secondary display may not display after a resume from disk under APM operating systems. 7. Fixed system hang seen when the user suspends the system using the Sleep Button () then closes the lid and resumes after warm docking to a docking station with a CRT attached. 9. Fixed intermittent issue in which the system may fail to complete POST with AC power attached and a fully discharged battery installed. 10. Fixed issue in which the user may need to suspend touchpad and trackstick use for several seconds before either device will respond. Enhancements: 1. Replaced with as the hotkey used to exit the One Time Boot Menu screen. 2. Improved battery status reporting algorithm to reduce time spent in SMM when updating the OS battery information. 3. Fixed issue seen under APM operating systems in which the system may hang after resuming from a re-suspend due to entering an incorrect BIOS or hard disk drive password. 9. Fixed issue seen under APM operating systems in which a change to the Pointing Device field in System Setup may disable the TouchPad-Trackstick and an external PS/2 mouse. 10. Fixed problem seen under APM operating systems in which the system may hang if a hard drive installed in the dock media bay is accessed without restarting the system after a password for the hard drive is added or removed. Fixed issue where WinDVD will pause after a suspend-to-RAM initiated from the start menu with USB Speaker attached. 10. Fixed issue where user is not able to enter System Setup after booting to a CD-ROM drive. 11. Fixed issue where "Time-of-Day" intermittently shows up as all zeros. 12. Fixed issue where system will lock while undocking after hot docking with Windows 2000 and the PC-Tel modem installed. 13. Fixed issue where on battery resumes from hibernate the system will message an error about an unsafe removal of the USB. 14. Increased the amount of time before the system shuts down when swapping batteries without AC power attached when in suspend mode. 8. Added comments to power management help file to accurately reflect support supplied for APM operating systems with and without the Intel Speedstep applet loaded. 9. Allow changes to Touchpad/mouse settings in System Setup to take effect immediately instead of requiring a reboot. 10. Prevent systems with 1G of RAM from doing suspend-to-disk. Fixed the Wake On LAN setting in system setup to only apply to waking the system from Hibernate or the Off state. The NIC driver is responsible for Wake On LAN from Standby. 5. Fixed issue in which NumLock is always enabled when the system is booted with a USB keyboard attached. 6. Fixed issue seen under ACPI Operating Systems in which the volume hotkeys do not update the mixer unless the mixer is open or audio is playing. Enhancements: 1.
